New Foods for 800 Calorie HCG Diet 2.0:  Low Sugar Ice Cream, Protein Chips, Crustless Quiches

  • New foods for 800 calorie HCG diet offer dieters many new eating experiences while still maintaining the HCG diet principles. All of the new products reviewed are low calorie, high protein and have sugar <4 grams and net carbs 7 grams or less.
  • Many new foods are from the popular Keto Diet, just make sure of the calories and fats which can be higher than we want.
As an endocrinologist and weight loss specialist, I have long been aware of the need for a simple system for people to lose weight. The HCG diet provides the simplest of systems that are effective, safe and efficient. It permits rapid weight loss at the same time as offering considerable variety.  HCG drops or injections reduce hunger, burns fat as it increases metabolism. I have treated more than 2000 patients over the past 18 months with some of these new, exciting low carb foods and drinks. Medicine and food chemistry has made huge changes since the original 500 calorie HCG Diet of Dr. Simeons. In my newly updated  800 calorie HCG diet, available on Amazon.com I review even more changes.
The original HCG diet and protocol of Dr. Simeons has barely changed in more than fifty years. Dr. Simeon’s original diet was very limited involving a lot of shopping and recipe preparation. A few quick and easy foods were offered. Also, food groups were very limited. Dr. Simeons Original Food Plan included a few fruits and vegetables, 100 grams of lean protein and some melba toast., low carb breads and even bagels with 0 net carbs.

• Remember that in the 1950s there were no artificial sweeteners, nor were there any foods prepared commercially that met Dr.x Simeon’s criteria for low fat and sugar. Since that time there have been thousands of new foods and supplements created by food companies around the world that fit into the HCG plan. Here are the advantages of these foods:

HCG 2.0 foods include many foods purchased in easy portion control packages, “prepared foods” as opposed to foods that require preparations and multiple ingredients.
The food plan provides nutrient-rich dishes that are both satisfying and appealing. Nothing is worse than eating the same boring foods day after day. I know that foods not only have to be healthy but visually appealing and absolutely delicious. In addition, they must be quick and easy to prepare.

New Low Calorie-Low Sugar, High Protein Ice Cream: Halo TOP

New foods on 800 calorie HCG diet also include ice creams like Halo Top. Halo top uses the use of organic stevia. Stevia is a plant native to Paraguay that’s been used to sweeten foods and beverages for more than 200 years. And, because it’s so tasty, it is used to replace the sugar replacement.  To further remove the carbs, Halo Top uses  Erythritol, another all-natural sweetener found in fruits like pears and grapes. Though it’s technically a sugar alcohol, it’s unlike the others because erythritol doesn’t affect blood glucose or cause bloating or loose bowels. To keep the carbs low enough, seek Halo Top Pints that are 280 calories of less (like the chocolate, strawberry etc) with portions that will be no more than 4 grams/portion. Halo top is available at all Whole Food Stores and most of your local grocery markets. Read about the Halo Ice cream story.

  • I have taken hcg in the past and have had success. However I developed severe kidney stones that needed surgery to get rid of. I’ve read that hcg can contribute so I’m dearly afraid to try again. In addition one of the harder parts was finding products -skin and hair- that didn’t contain oil. Is this still the issue with the new hcg diet? Thx for your help!
